We are very excited to announce that we will premiere Me Talking to Myself in the Future in Vienna, at the Wiener Festwochen on May 20th Details here:www.festwochen.at
Work with Jonathan Parant and Alexandre St Onge has been more than exciting so far and we already witness the unfolding of a very musical and poetic piece. We are having this fantasy of making a recording of the play we’d like to offer on a CD or online. We will try to make this wish come true after the opening… As members of the music project K.A.N.T.N.A.G.A.N.O, Jonathan and Alexandre (with other member Alexander Wilson) just released a great album, Existe, and you may download it there: kantnagano.bandcamp.com and while you are at it, why not visit their MySpace page there: www.myspace.com/kantnagano

MARIE BRASSARD is probably one of Quebec’s most renowned artists, who gained recognition after spending several years touring with another famous Quebec artist from the theatre world, Robert Lepage. She ended up founding her own company, INFRAROUGE, which also produces her shockingly beautiful performances. Brassard’s work is quite abstract, and she clearly doesn’t focus on narratives; her work goes well beyond simple theatre. She dismantles the rules of playwriting, demonstrating that she’s been influenced by dance, literature and music. She puts all of these elements together onstage, often in a novel, provocative fashion. One could easily say that Marie Brassard is one of the most interesting avant-garde artists in the Montreal cultural scene today…. la suite ici:
Don’t miss Jimmy (English version) if you have never seen it. If so, come again! It will most propbably be his last time in Montreal.

Ce qu’ils ont dit de The Glass Eye:
“This examination of a life both lived and unlived is a catalyst for the audience, who are urged to re-imagine their own aspirations and the blurred line between reality and dreams. That alone makes this show worth seeing.” - The Globe and Mail, Toronto
“Louis Negin is one of those rare actors who’s a true raconteur, a performer who turns personal anecdotes into a magnet, drawing an audience irresistibly into his world.” -Now, Toronto

Our friend, Markus Luchsinger (14.5.1955 - 30.7.2009) an important person in the Swiss and German theatre worlds, has passed away at the age of 54. Artistic director of the Theater Chur, Markus died suddenly following a heart attack this summer while on vacation in the south of France. For 11 years he was director of the Zürcher Theaterspektakel. He then moved to Berlin to take in hand the theatre and dance program of the Berliner Festspiele for 4 years and founded the festival Spielzeit Europa. In 2006, he returned to Switzerland to direct the Theater Chur. There, he was able to develop a dynamic international program and enjoy an artistic freedom. From Zurich to Berlin to Chur, Markus was a faithful supporter of our work for several years. Last September, we benefitted from a residence at his theatre to work on The Invisible and we then returned to present Jimmy. He had accepted with enthusiasm to be coproducer on our next production Me talking to Myself in the future, and we have a residence planed at his theatre this fall. This is with disbelief and great sadness that we all recently learned of his death. The world has lost a wonderful person; Markus was very intelligent and a man of integrity. We will miss him enormously. We would like to express our sympathy to all his colleagues, family and friends.
We are now back in Montreal after a great three weeks in New York City performing our show “Jimmy”. We will soon continue to work on our next creation “Me talking to Myself in the future”. We are also preparing a tour for our most recent production “The Invisible” after an extremely successful run this past spring in Montreal. We are very proud of this piece in its final version. You will soon be able to find here the dates and cities we will be visiting over the course of the year.
Voici ce qu’ils ont écrit: Solo performer Marie Brassard wants to take over your dreams.(…) Artists sometimes claim to be tapping the unconscious when they are actually bogging themselves down in patchy surrealism. But Brassard, an artist of rare gifts, makes good on the promise. She evokes dreaming’s borderlessness, its sense that no identity is ever entirely within our control (…) Did it really end? The audience tiptoes out destabilized, worried they may be dreaming still. —Helen Shaw, Time Out
A Murky Dream World of Subconscious Characters… Marie Brassard’s one-woman show “Jimmy” is about the stuff of dreams — well, a dream figure, a recurring visitor in the nocturnal imaginings of a slumbering American Army general and an actress. Audiences may not readily comprehend the strange landscape of the unconscious that the play navigates, but the tall, braided Ms. Brassard is a captivating guide through an enchanting, if unsettling, realm (…) — Andy Webster, The New York Times
New York premiere of her one-person work, Jimmy is an absolute “must see.” Short yet potent, itʼs a small masterwork— a time, gender and genre bender that exemplifies the best of experimental theater (…) In unskilled hands, this quasi sci-fi premise might veer into the merely silly. Ms. Brassard, however, makes this tale almost plausible, imbuing it with heartbreaking poignancy, poetic lyricism and even humor—a combination so very rare these days. —William Coyle, OffOffOnline reviews
